On Creation

I like that feeling when I paint,
Peaceful, steady-hearted,
It feels like the whole world is with me.

________

Walking in the mountain,
For me, is a meditation,
And my paintings,
Are a salute and worship to nature.

________

Nature already creates with perfection,
Human beings struggle with all their strength,
Only to grasp the beauty of nature to a limited degree,
And for the mere eventuality of conveying or not
Its ingenuity and spirituality.

________

Never mind if it is a mountain, forest, a cloud of mist, a rock in a pond,
Everything described is a reflection of the heart.

________

Each new canvas
Is a new life,
A new reincarnation.

________

The significance of creation does not necessarily lie in the final goal,
The search, along the process,
The exploration itself is the greatest delight in creating,
As simple and neat as possible,
And avoiding to always repeat what has already been said.

________

Let painting happen naturally,
Just like every day sitting, walking, or speaking.
Live simply, focused, at each moment.
Live plainly, with plain joys,
Like ripples on the surface of the water slowly opening in circles,
Blending within the life,
Blending into the beauty of existence.

________

Settling mind, body and soul is the most important.
Everything in life is geared towards this,
Painting is just one of the ways.

In the process, tasting carefully and enjoying,
Translating emotions or a particular spirit onto the picture,
This is what provides to the act of painting real interest and meaning.

________

In painting, to me,
The most important is not that particular landscape or lighting,
But how to grasp this very initial feeling
Of peace and ease, happiness and comfort.

Not to be bound by reputation, or a sense of achievement,
Or even by the desire for spiritual betterment,
But only most naturally and most sincerely
Share emotions, enter in dialogue, and feels as one with the whole universe around.

Cultivation is a necessary part in the course of life,
But one still needs to follow natural trends,
One cannot try too hard and act reluctantly.

Commitment, concentration, and at the same time the ability to loosen up entirely,
Hoping to always keep with painting a simple and pure relationship,
Then, only through the lasting continuation of this relationship
Can the act of painting perhaps be called
Spiritual betterment.

________

Sometimes, after casually painting a landscape,
Trying to arrange it into something a bit more complete
Ends up spoiling it.

As it turns out, the grace of a painting
Often comes from spontaneity,
From the absence of purpose,
In a carefree enjoyment of the moment.

________

Sometimes I even feel that
The only thought of painting a good picture
Is a kind of "greed"!

________

The exercise should not be too forceful,
Paint slowly,
Each picture, each stroke of the brush,
Should as much as possible carry awareness,
And be taken as an exercise in adjusting the habits of my old self.

Creation,
Is no longer a purely aesthetic exploration,
It has become a mirror and exercise of the spirit.
