這些日子來，
特別體會到時間的流轉，人世的消長，
此刻握在手中的，也許
下一瞬間將不復存在。
有一天，
自己也將化為塵埃。

畫溪石的念頭，
來自一次溪畔小立的午后，
那天陽光燦爛地灑在溪床上，
石上的一株小蕨在風中翩然起舞。
我因那光影所感，
細細品賞了水邊的石，
渾圓，嶙峋，光滑，或苔痕滿佈，
它們的完滿與美，
賜予我畫下它們的勇氣。

山、水、雲、霧、樹、石......，
畫得皆是心象風景；
清淡，朦朧，迭宕，或蕭索，
最要者是那份安適自在的初心。
走著，看著，畫著，
心中也自有一份了然；
不停地經歷，不斷地告別，
生命也像滔滔的溪水向前奔流，
直到，抵達天涯的彼岸。

所該，所能做的，
就是遍嚐這人生雜陳百味，
心存感謝這天地宇宙饋贈的一切，
用心體驗，然後
放下。

These days,
I have been particularly aware of the passing of time,
of the rise and fall of the human life,
What is grasped in hand, maybe
Will no longer be in the moment to come.
Some day,
I will too transform into dust.

The idea of painting river rocks,
Comes from standing a short while by a stream,one afternoon,
That day the sun rays were sprinkled brightly on the river bed,
A little fern on a rock was dancing lightly in the wind.
Touched by these lights and shades,
I watched in detail the rocks on the river banks,
Rounded, jagged, smooth or covered in moss,
Their fullness and beauty,
Gave me courage to paint them.

Mountains, water, clouds, fog, trees, rocks....,
All are painted as inner landscapes;
Light, hazy, audacious or desolate,
The most important is that initial feeling of unrestrained comfort.
Walking, watching, painting,
With clarity in mind.
Experiencing and then bidding farewell, again and again,
Life is like the surging river flow pouring forward,
Until it reaches the other shore at the confine of the world.

What must, what can be done,
Is to taste the miscellaneous flavours of existence,
With gratitude for what is given by the universe,
To assiduously experience, and then
Let go.
